About 300 million people of the world embrace Buddhism, and yet differs in understanding Buddhsim. Lord Buddha first called and known as Prince Siddhartha was later enlightened to be re named as Gautama Buddha.
The dhamma of Buddha was not written during his existence but later a sangayana or a communion of Buddhist preists including Lord Buddha’s closest disciple (Ananda Thero) who remembered from word to word all that lord Buddha expounded with the other disciples made it available to the world through this communion.
The dhamma explained by Lord Buddha is based on a cause and effect basis and hence did not include a God in its explanations while Buddhism is based on Four noble truths which are suffering, the cause of suffering, escape from suffering and the way to escape from suffering.
However understanding suffering is based on anicca (impermanence), dukka (sorrow) and anatma (not self), subject to vivid explanations that followed later.
It is extremely clear that Lord buddha explained much of his insight based on the Cosmos. Especially Agganna Sutta with other suttas explaining matters from the cosmos and planets and objects beyond the visual distance from our eyes. These explanations can be made to understand with Astronomy and modern science to a certain extent while developing a third eye (Pragna) while walking the path of Arya Ashatanga Margaya (The noble eight fold path), the only path to escape suffering.
The essays in book form, in this web could be useful to those who wish to understand and follow the Buddha dharma, along with the Tripitaka to free themselves from earthly suffering.
May all beings be healthy, free from sorrow, and free from suffering and be lead to happiness.
